Wuthering Heights was originally published by Thomas Newby in 1847. It was thought that the novel was written by a man, and did not receive praise because it offended Victorian morals. It wasnt until after Emilys death, that her sister Charlotte revealed that Emily was the true author of Wuthering Heights in its second edition.
